In his formative years in Sweden Mikael Lustig would have had little or no knowledge of Celtic although as a teenager he probably kept an eye on the goals of Henrik Larsson.
As his career kicked off at Umea FC and GIF Sundsvali and the Swedish youth sides the goings on in Glasgow between Celtic and Rangers (IL) might just have caught his attention.
Fast forward the clock via Rosenborg and it’s clear that the Swede revels in the new rivalry between Sevco and Celtic.
In April he scored the type of goal that any midfield playmaker would have coveted, drifting past a couple of defenders then gliding a brilliant 20 yard shot past Wesley Foderingham and inside the post.
His celebrations with his shirt over his head was almost as memorable as the goal itself.
???? You just can’t beat a Glasgow Derby win at Ibrox!

On Saturday without putting the ball in the net himself Lustig looked as happy as any fan plucked from the Broonyloan Road Stand when the ball was exploding into Foderingham’s net.
Celtic TV had a camera perfectly placed behind the goal- after enjoying the strike take a look at Lustig- it’s so so good to be Celtic.
