Celtic have been linked with a move for former Motherwell winger Marvin Johnson.
According to a report in The Sun the hoops were among 30 clubs that watched Johnson in action for Oxford United against Bury on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old has scored five times for the League One club since the turn of the year with the number of clubs watching growing by the week.
Johnson has already played at Celtic Park this season but Motherwell’s 5-0 defeat in the Betfred Cup wasn’t one of his most memorable moments.
The Fir Park side signed Johnson for £40,000 from Kidderminster in January 2015 and turned around an impressive profit when they collected £450,000 from Oxford at the end of the 2016 summer transfer window.
Motherwell are believed to have negotiated a significant sell on fee for the winger whose career has kicked off since moving to Fir Park with Oxford certain to cash in this summer.
